Ram equips these vans with a workhorse engine and sturdy drivetrain. Every new Promaster van comes with the popular 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. Its 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque are excellent for towing and payload. In fact, the new Promaster is rated at a maximum towing capacity of 5,100 pounds and a maximum payload of 4,680 pounds. On top of it all, the Pentastar V6 is rated for 10,000-mile oil change intervals.

Unlike many competitors, Ram chose to fit the Promaster series with standard front-wheel drive. This has some multifaceted benefits, first of which is improved grip and performance in winter weather that's familiar to Livonia and Dearborn drivers. The second is a tighter turning radius for tighter maneuvering. Turn the wheel and the Promaster can pull a 36-foot turning diameter. You'll also get standard electronic stability control and antilock brakes in your Promaster.

Utilitarian Design

The new Promaster series offers design features that can make the job easier. Look inside the cabin and you'll find an available Uconnect 3 NAV system.
